1. About SnappFeed

SnappFeed is a personal, location-based memory application. It allows you to associate photos with geographic locations and view your saved memories on a map or in a list.

The current version of SnappFeed:

• does not require registration or a user account;
• does not provide public profiles, social networking, messaging, or public content sharing;
• does not display advertising;
• does not offer in-app purchases or subscriptions;
• does not use advertising-tracking SDKs;
• does not use an analytics SDK operated by SnappFeed;
• does not operate a SnappFeed backend server for storing your photos, memories, titles, or descriptions.

2. Information stored locally on your device

When you choose to create or save a memory, SnappFeed may store the following information in the app's private storage area on your device:

• photos captured or selected by you;
• geographic coordinates or locations selected by you;
• titles and descriptions entered by you;
• app settings and preferences;
• information required to organize and display your saved memories.

This locally stored content is not uploaded to a SnappFeed-operated server, and the developer does not have direct remote access to it.

Depending on your device, operating system, and backup settings, locally stored app data may be included in an Apple iCloud backup, an Android device backup, or another backup service configured by you. Those backups are controlled by you and are subject to the privacy practices of the relevant platform or backup provider.

3. Device permissions

SnappFeed requests permissions only when they are needed for a feature.

Camera

Camera access is used only when you choose to take a new photo within the app.

Photos and media

Access to photos or media is used when you choose an existing image to add to a memory.

Where supported, SnappFeed uses the platform's system photo picker so that you can select specific images without granting broad access to your entire photo library.

SnappFeed does not scan or upload your photo library in the background.

Location while using the app

Location access may be used to:

• show your current position on the map;
• let you associate a location with a memory;
• help you choose or confirm a geographic point.

The current version of SnappFeed does not request continuous background location access.

Managing permissions

These permissions are optional. You can deny or revoke Camera, Photos/Media, and Location permissions at any time through your device settings on iOS or Android.

If a permission is denied or revoked, only the feature that depends on that permission may become unavailable.

4. Third-party services

Google Maps Platform

SnappFeed uses Google Maps Platform, including the Maps SDK for iOS and/or the Maps SDK for Android, to display maps and location-related features.

When map features are used, the app communicates with Google's systems to obtain map data and related resources. Depending on the platform, SDK version, configuration, and features used, Google may process information such as:

• device and operating-system metadata;
• Maps SDK version and request metadata;
• IP address;
• SDK crash diagnostics, stack traces, or stability metrics;
• a Maps SDK-specific pseudonymous identifier;
• map interaction events, such as panning or zooming;
• location-related information when it is necessary for a map feature you choose to use and permission has been granted.

Google processes this information under its own privacy policy, terms, SDK settings, and platform privacy disclosures.

SnappFeed does not intentionally send photos selected from your Camera or Photos/Media library to Google Maps.

Google Maps attribution displayed within the app must not be removed or obscured.

Apple, Google Play, and operating-system services

The operating system manages permission prompts for Camera, Photos/Media, and Location.

Apple and Google may also independently process technical or diagnostic information through services such as:

• the Apple App Store or Google Play;
• TestFlight or Google Play testing services;
• operating-system diagnostics and crash reporting;
• iCloud or Android device backup;
• security and integrity services.

This processing is controlled by Apple, Google, the operating system, and your device settings.

Software libraries

SnappFeed uses software libraries for functions such as local storage, image selection and processing, dependency management, image display, and map integration.

In the current version, these libraries do not create a SnappFeed user account or a SnappFeed-operated online profile. A library may facilitate a network request when a feature relies on an external service; in that case, the privacy practices of the relevant external service apply.

5. Data collection, sharing, selling, advertising, and tracking

In the current version, SnappFeed itself:

• does not sell personal information;
• does not share personal information with data brokers;
• does not use personal information for targeted advertising;
• does not track users across apps or websites owned by other companies;
• does not operate advertising or user-behavior analytics services;
• does not intentionally collect your locally stored photos, titles, descriptions, or memories on a SnappFeed-operated server.

Third-party services, including Google Maps Platform and mobile platform services, may process technical, diagnostic, request, interaction, or location-related information as described in Section 4.

6. Purpose of processing

Information is accessed or processed only for purposes such as:

• allowing you to take or select a photo;
• saving and displaying a location-based memory;
• displaying maps and map content;
• showing your current location when you request that feature;
• maintaining app functionality, security, reliability, and compatibility;
• complying with applicable legal obligations.

SnappFeed does not use your locally stored memories for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making.

7. Retention and deletion

Locally stored information remains on your device until one of the following occurs:

• you delete a memory or photo within the app;
• you clear the app's local data, where supported;
• you uninstall SnappFeed;
• you erase or reset the device.

Uninstalling SnappFeed will normally remove information stored in the app's private local storage. Copies may remain in an iCloud, Android, device, or third-party backup until those backups are deleted or replaced according to your backup settings.

Because SnappFeed does not maintain a server-side account or database of your memories, the developer generally cannot remotely view, recover, export, or delete information stored only on your device.

Information independently processed by Google, Apple, or another platform provider is retained and deleted under that provider's policies and controls.

8. Your choices and privacy rights

You can:

• revoke Camera, Photos/Media, and Location permissions in your device settings;
• delete memories and photos from within the app;
• remove local app data by uninstalling SnappFeed;
• manage device and cloud backup settings;
• contact the developer with a privacy question.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy law, including the right to receive information, object to certain processing, request restriction, or submit a complaint to a data-protection authority.

Because SnappFeed does not use accounts or maintain a server-side database of user memories, the developer may not possess information that can be associated with, retrieved for, or deleted on behalf of a specific user.

Requests involving information independently processed by Google, Apple, or another platform provider should be submitted through that provider's privacy tools and procedures.

9. Security

SnappFeed stores app information in the app's private storage area on your device and relies on security protections provided by iOS or Android.

No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your device, passcode, Apple Account or Google Account, and backups.

10. Children's privacy

SnappFeed is not specifically designed for or marketed to children.

The developer does not knowingly collect children's personal information on a SnappFeed-operated server. Parents and guardians should manage a child's access to photos and location information using the permission, parental-control, Screen Time, or Family Link features available on the device.

11. International processing

Third-party providers such as Google and Apple may process technical or service-related information in countries other than the country where you live. Such processing is governed by those providers' privacy policies, contractual terms, and applicable legal safeguards.

12. External links

SnappFeed or this Privacy Policy may contain links to third-party websites. SnappFeed is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those websites. You should review the privacy policy of each external service you use.

13. Changes to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when SnappFeed's features, permissions, third-party services, software components, or legal obligations change.

The Last updated date at the top of this page will be revised when changes are published. If a change materially affects how information is used, an appropriate notice may also be provided within the app, on the app's store listing, or on this website.
